High Point

At the intersection of four North Carolina counties is the city of High Point—one of the largest cities in the state by population, and one of the arms of the Piedmont Triad. Known for its long history in the furniture and textiles industries, High Point has numerous buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, many of which were built in the early 20th century. It has even been dubbed the “Home Furnishings and Hosiery Capital of the World.” Residents of High Point enjoy the quiet lifestyle, the great number of attractions and things to do, and the multitude of public and private educational institutions at all age levels—which includes High Point University.
